This decision-making tool helps users find the right hotel options. Although it is used for hotels, changing the variables, one could theoretically use the model for any kind of ranking. It is unique in that it uses an algorithm that takes into account user-assigned values to each variable. It then creates a ‘Preferability Index’ or score for each Hotel based on whether the Hotel meets the variables that the user prefers more than others. The hotels are then ranked according to their score and the top 10 hotels are shown above. They change as the user changes his or her preferences!
