I’ve created a simple to use Cash Book ideal for any small or work-from-home business.
This version allows you to keep records for receipts and payments for up to three different Bank accounts (or a petty cash account) all in one spreadsheet.
If you’re running a Small Business then you want to spend as little time on your day to day finances as possible. Much better to spend your time on your products and future strategy!

A basic knowledge of MS Excel or Open Office is required to use this spreadsheet.
This Excel template file has 20 tabs:
-Setup – where you can enter basic information, such as Company Name, V.A.T. rate, Currency, Bank account names, Receipt & Payment categories and 12 Months.
-Months 1 to 12 – this is where you enter your detailed receipts / payments, which bank account they’re for and the category
-Summary Totals (and separate tabs for each bank account) – this summarises all the data entered into the detailed monthly sheets and shows some graphs
-Bank for each Bank account – use this sheet to reconcile each bank account easily

FEATURES:
-Change the V.A.T. rate to whatever applies to your business (or set it to 0% if not relevant to you)

-Work in whatever currency you want

-Use one file for up to three different Bank accounts (Current / Deposit / Petty Cash or whatever suits your business)

-Amend categories for payments (up to 22) and receipts (up to 12) to whatever suits your business best

-Change the names / order of months to fit your financial year

-Mark whether payments and recipts have cleared the bank and make reconciling to your Bank Statements simple

-Row check feature will tell you if the row you are entering doesn’t balance (and the difference)
